April 13 = New Dress Day

Before having a girl, I was a little bit nervous because I don't like dresses, makeup, girly things.  This is more like my style:

Liam and I get each other.  But little Miss Malia voluntarily wore a dress today.  She picked it out herself.  Grandma and Pops got it for her a while ago for the summer but she decided to give it an early debut.

September 28 = Beautiful Dress Day

When Great Granny Jean found out we were having another baby, one of the first things she said was that she hoped it was a girl.  I was secretly hoping it was a girl too but didn't want to say anything in case it turned out differently- I didn't want a little boy to know his mom wanted a girl.  Obviously, I would have loved this baby no matter what but having a little boy and a little girl just feels so complete.  Anyway, for Christmas, Great Granny Jean got the little baby a beautiful dress- we didn't know she was a girl yet but I guess she just had faith it would be.  Now, about 9 months later, here she is in that beautiful dress!
