Liam and Malia ripped into their Easter baskets last night. They got a doctor's kit to share and that was definitely the hit of the evening. It came with a cell phone and Malia likes to put it on her eye and "take a picture." I don't know.
She also really likes the stethoscope or as she calls it, "my e-scope"
I love this picture.
Malia got some hair clips for Easter as well... Liam thought she should wear one.
Here's McKenzie!
We went to St. Margaret's Episcopal for Easter service. Liam didn't get much sleep last night so he looks exhausted...
And here's a McKenzie update!
After church, we did an Easter egg hunt on the playground across the street from our house- but not before Malia picked this singular flower we had in our front yard...
... and kissed the neighborhood outdoor cat. We don't know who he/she belongs to but he/she has a collar and is well taken care of and friendly.
I love this sneaky look on his face even though he's doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing.
Zachary and Liam had fun walking around the perimeter of the playground- good balance practice!
First I thought this was funny- my phone was telling me I had 1,100 voicemails from Liam's speech therapy office.
Also, we had an ultrasound done today- look at this little one!
And Liam had OT today- Malia's still pretty obsessed with this puzzle.
Also, a very important day of my life has happened. Malia is now able and willing to pick grapes off their little vines. It may not seem like that big of a deal but with how much she loves grapes, it is.
So I'm still pretty behind on blogging (but I'm catching up!) and so it took me a minute to figure out why I had taken this picture but I remembered:
We were getting ready to go somewhere and I told Liam to get a coat. He brought this one downstairs but I hate putting him in his car seat with this coat on if it's not freezing outside so I told him that one was too big, to find a different one. I went downstairs to put stuff in the car and he came down the stairs with a different coat and said "This coat not big, it's little." And I was so impressed! Also, I'm still in love with Obama/Biden Memes so here...
And finally, I'll leave you with these two videos that I think are super cute- especially when Malia says "get back here."
We made it to Smithfield! And to celebrate, Zachary and I got to go out for a dinner date to La Cocina! We were seated at table 13 and if you know us, you know 13 is our number. We started dating on the 13th and we also found out we were expecting Liam and Malia on the 13th. This new little girl hasn't had any affiliation with our favorite number so when we were seated at table 13, Zachary decided it would be a good time to pick her name.
We flipped some coins about a million times... but we have this strategy where we flip a coin but then we'll say which one we were hoping for, heads or tails, and that's more often than not how we make our decision instead of what the coin says. Well the coin and our preference were the same in this case so unless something drastic happens, we'll be welcoming little McKenzie in June :)
