March 16 = Travel Day
It's been nice just having Malia all to myself but I'm a bit bored at this point. Also, some crazy person was knocking on my door at 11:30pm and I had to call the cops to make them go away and my dad's birthday is tomorrow so this morning I woke up and decided to drive to NC.
It was a 6.5 hour drive. Malia fell asleep literally five minutes before we got to my dad's office to surprise him.

March 15 = Puzzle Day
I've been looking for a puzzle to do for months. Finally, I woke up and realized I could have my pick if I looked on Amazon. So here we go...
Malia was helping me out... ish.
Saw this on facebook and sent it to Zachary. Cookies beat flowers every time.
Also, even though our commander-in-chief decided not to fill out a NCAA tournament bracket this year, I was super excited to see Obama filled one out. And he made a really good choice :):)

Also, although Liam is not here, he's always on my mind and seeing this made me laugh. This is so him.

March 14 = Sleepy Day
Ignore the lack of clothing... we're working on potty training this week. This girl. She can sleep anywhere under any conditions.

March 13 = Dramatic Day
So we've started giving the kids their drinks in the same cups as always but without tops because it's time they learn to drink out of an open cup. Well this morning, Malia got her drink and asked for a top. I told her she is a big girl and doesn't need one and she started pouting. Then she said "I don't want to be a big girl. It's unfair."
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Zachary and I agree that she's probably never heard the word unfair in this house... so where in the world did she get that from? Who knows.
Later, we went to the library. I love taking the kids to the library but it's really tough with both of them because they both want to do their own thing and those things are usually in opposite corners of the building. So really, any time I have one kid, I'll take him or her to the library. This is us leaving the library:

March 12 = Second Spring Break Day

We went to the Breakfast Shoppe... I love the Breakfast Shoppe so much but it's always so crowded and we have to wait so it's not ideal for Liam. So Malia and I went and there was a 45 minute wait so we went across the street to AC Moore and I got her some Minnie Mouse puzzles and we came back just in time for breakfast. It was so yummy and Malia had so much fun coloring and doing puzzles!

March 11 = First Spring Break Day
Zachary is going with the Midshipmen Action Group down to North Carolina to help a town rebuild after a hurricane that happened a while ago. He's taking Liam with him and Liam's going to spend the week with Grandma and Pops. So Malia and I are on our own this week!
She's discovered a new show and it's all she wants to watch- it's called Super Wings.
Liam has a habit of hiding crayons when they're available and then using them later to color on the walls in the playroom. Therefore, they're not available very often but since Malia doesn't have that same tendency, I've brought some out for her- she's having a blast!
I got bored after a while so we went and ran some errands- I had two returns to make and man everything is so much easier with one child...

March 9 = Nap Day
So our new daily routine consists of putting both kids in Liam's room for "rest time." Eventually, I let Liam out and Malia is typically asleep around that time. Today, though, Liam actually fell asleep!
