September 2 = Breakfast Shoppe Day

What a day to go to the Breakfast Shoppe.  Any day is a good day to go to the Breakfast Shoppe but today was a super good day because as you can see from the first two pictures, we were a table in between two tables full of police officers.  We felt super safe.  And we were fed very well.  French toast with strawberries for the win.

September 1 = Company Picnic Day

7th Company had their picnic this afternoon- ooo I'm going to see if I can find a picture from last year's... nope.  Fail.  Anyway, I know we went last year whether there's photo evidence or not.  But this year was even more fun because Malia was running around.  Barefoot.  This girl is always barefoot.

I brought lots of toys to try to keep Liam occupied.  It worked.  For a few minutes.

Saw this on Facebook today... I don't drink the pumpkin spice lattes or wear fur (or fur looking things) but everything else is spot on.

August 31 = Panera Day

Warning.  I posted a lot of pictures of the same little girl in the exact same spot.  But she's so pretty, I couldn't resist.

We took Zachary some dinner tonight- here's Liam cracking up at the plebes shouting out the same thing over and over again...

August 30 = Early Birthday Present Day

We ran to AC Moore after dropping Liam off at school and I got this little carpet with some wooden cars- I should wait until Liam's birthday to give it to him but if you know me, you know that's not going to happen.  Malia's previewing it before her brother gets home.

"Before last night's Red Sox game, David Ortiz was signing autographs when someone handed him their baby.  Just then, the National Anthem began so..."

We love Big Papi in this house.

August 29 = Chickfila Breakfast Day

Hi my name is Melissa and I'm a chickfila addict.  My mom, Malia and I had breakfast at chickfila this morning.  It's. So. Good.

I didn't take many pictures today but my focus was for sure food.  Here's my dessert:

Also, I saw this and laughed out loud.  I've seen the "please excuse the mess, my children are making memories" but I've never seen this version before.  Love it.

August 28 = Memento Day

Matt and I went to The Breakfast Shoppe this morning to get French Toast to go... I just rode along while he drove and picked it up.  But we also stopped in a Hallmark and I got this Willow Tree figure.  It's called "Happiness."  I got it because when I was thinking of my baby, I was thinking of him- I'm convinced the baby was a boy- with my Grandma in heaven.  She's rocking him and they're just happy being together.  My grandma loved blue birds so I was looking for something with a bluebird and it would just remind me that they're together.  Then I found this.  There are three bluebirds.  So I just see Liam and Malia on one side here with me and the other bluebird is the baby.  I love it.

August 26 = Procedure Day

My mom and brother came in last night- they're going to help take care of the kids (and me) this weekend after my D&C today.  Matt slept in the living room last night and when Malia woke up this morning, she went right in and snuggled up.  We took Liam to school and then my mom and I went to get a pedicure while Zachary had Malia and Uncle Matt picked Liam up from school.

I wasn't allowed to eat after midnight last night so I was going on 17 hours of no food by the time they took me back for my procedure but I was totally out for it and don't remember a thing.  It was quick and painless minus the IV and I've got lots of help this weekend so we're going to look at all those bright parts.  It still hurts but at least now it's over.  I had a hard time in the in-between stage but I'm hoping now that everything's over, things can get back to normal soon.  I'm so very grateful for the two kids I do have.  I can't imagine going through this without being able to see their faces and know I'm already blessed beyond measure.
