September 17 = Kinder Farm Park Day

Zachary had Rover watch last night at the academy so he spent the night there and then had a breakfast this morning so Daps, Grandma and I took the kids to Kinder Farm Park.  It was so nice outside and the kids had so much fun!

After the park, we grabbed chickfila to take home and met Zachary there for lunch before Grandma and Daps had to leave.  And while they were heading south, Alexandra was heading north!  We are going to the Cowboys v. Redskins game tomorrow.  A little under seven years ago, Alexandra and I went to a tattoo parlor and she got her first tattoo and I got my cartilage pierced.  So now that she wants her second tattoo, she's decided to do it up here so I can be with her for the second one too!  The same guy who did my XIII a couple months ago, did her new sun.

May 14 = Cute Boy Day

Updated tattoo- it already looks better!  It'll look even better in a few days.

And here are some screen shots of Liam from a video Zachary took- how cute is he?!

May 13 = Anniversary Day!

Today is Friday the 13th and it's a special 13th- it marks 13 years since Zachary and I started dating!  So we started the day by going to the gym... Here's Malia singing on the way home:

Liam and Malia have this new habit of eating dinner in the living room on the picnic blanket but now in their chairs using the ottoman as a table- it's super cute- and to be festive, Zachary put a flower and candle on the ottoman.  Really for me to take a picture of it because it didn't last long but it was cute while it lasted.

I had arranged for a babysitter to come watch the kids so Zachary and I could go out to an anniversary dinner but last night as we were reflecting on the meaning of the day- Zachary asked me another tattoo question- "What would you have us get if we got matching tattoos?"  I said a Roman number 13 and he said he was thinking the same thing!  He might have made me a strawberry daiquiri and that may have influenced my willingness but he somehow talked me into getting matching tattoos!  So that's what we did before we went to dinner.  I went first because I knew I'd chicken out if I had to wait too long.  Our appointment was at 6:00 but when we got there they told us it'd be another 30 minutes so then I got nervous.  I was fine until I knew I had to wait and then I got freaked out.  Zachary was thinking it was going to hurt really badly because of the way I acted while I was getting mine- I wanted to tell him it didn't really hurt... but I couldn't.  My legs got numb, my hands... and I started seeing black.  I don't know what it is- it's this way with needles too- it's not the pain.  I don't know what it is but something freaks me out.  So here's Zachary getting his:

Here's the bandage that makes it look a lot bigger than it is:

And here it is!  It'll look better tomorrow, promise.

October 3 = Tattoo Day

So Liam has been in a terrible mood for... a while now.  My wonderful mother-in-law sensed that I needed a break like nobody's business so she offered to come up and watch the kids so that Zachary and I could get away.  We were planning on going to the Navy football game but it was raining so we had breakfast at my favorite, favorite place, The Breakfast Shoppe, where I had a delicious ham, sausage, bacon and cheddar omelet.  And then Zachary had to do some stuff at work but I got to take a nap.  And then we did some shopping and went to dinner and then... Zachary got a tattoo!  This was the before picture... probably would have been better with short sleeves but it was cold!

And the after!

These are the Gaelic astrological signs for me, Liam and Malia- Zachary read that it is common for family members' signs to be joined by the one long center line consistent in each one so that's what he did!  He says it's like carrying his family with him which will be even more significant when we go back on sea duty and he has to leave us from time to time.
