October 10 = Gramps & Mimi Visit Day

Look at these two holding hands:

And just look at Ms. Bright Eyes-

Gramps and Mimi left North Carolina yesterday, they stopped halfway and then got in today a couple minutes before Liam got home from school- they were really hoping to be here when he got off the bus and they made it!

On the 8th we only got a picture of Kayleigh with her sign laying down- I was not willing to wake her up for a picture, so today I got some with her in the chair with her sign just to be consistent with the pictures from previous months.

Malia wanted to do a craft today- I got these little paintable pumpkins from Michael's the other day and have been keeping them hidden and waiting for an opportunity like today!

Sleeping baby alert:

There's nothing like a girl and her daddy but there's also nothing like a girl and her grandpa... or gramps!

November 29 = Dentist Day

I had got to take the kids to dentist today by myself.  Note to self: don't ever do that again.  I only got two pictures because it was a nightmare.  Malia enjoyed playing with this... whatever animal this is, and its toothbrush and that was the highlight of the trip.

I was rewarded for my rough morning by getting to go to a Moms' Night Out with my MOPS group tonight- we went to Muse Paint Bar.  Part of the evening is getting to drink wine while you paint but since that isn't an option for me, my complimentary drink was a sprite- pretty good!

Here's the progression of my painting:

No clue what I'm going to do with it but I like it!

January 23 = Snow Day!

We woke up today to even more snow than there was when we went to bed last night!  Here's Liam checking it out first thing this morning.  Right after this picture was taken, he slammed the door- he gets it from his momma.

That's my van almost covered by snow:

Our Navy garden flag was barely peeking through:

Since we weren't going anywhere, we decided to have a preschool day on a weekend!  This week was "All About Green" so we did some cucumber printing with green paint in our green pajamas- lots of green!

And we played with the green rice sensory bins:

Zachary was working hard to get our driveway and the snow around my car shoveled.  The only problem was... we don't have a snow shovel.  And the one shovel we do have was in the backyard.  So he used the top of a rubbermaid container... and that worked for a while but then he decided it would be worth it to look for the shovel in the backyard.  So this is what happened:

The kids stayed inside and when we came back in this is what we found:

Joey was not a fan of the cold:

I know this looks like mashed potatoes or cauliflower but it's actually snow cream!  It was so good!
