September 6 = Gymnastics Day

What a day, what a day.

Malia started gymnastics today.  It was a bit of a hot mess.

Here's my Kayleigh bug- she loves holding hands- but not as much as I do!

I really enjoy pictures that sum up our life.  This is one of them:

We also started AWANA tonight.  Zachary had a ton of work to do so he stayed home because I thought this was going to be a really simple drop off and then I'd have an hour to myself.  So naive.  This is what it actually looked like:

Also, we have another development.  You've heard the term "threenager?"  Yeah.  I've got one of those.  Malia doesn't call me mommy anymore- it's just mom now.  And it's said with quite a bit of attitude.  Pray for me.

July 16 = Malia's Birthday!

So it's Malia's birthday but since she's three and didn't really communicate to us what she wished for her birthday plans- we had our families meet at La Cocina!  This is a birthday tradition for my family so it was the perfect plan, at least for me ;).

Here's some pictures from dinner:

After dinner, we went back to Grandma & Dops house and I snapped this picture of Kayleigh and Gramps before they left.  I got a tad bit emotional when my family left because I knew it would be the last time they'd see Kayleigh as a itty bitty baby- I was surprised my dad let me get this picture but he might have been thinking that too.

I can't believe little Miss Malia is three years old!  She is so full of joy and love.  She's always willing to help, very generous with hugs and kisses (as long as it's on her terms) and so very smart.  She talks so much and so well- you never have to wonder what she's thinking.  I love her wild spirit- I think we should have named her Tarzana- she can give you a look that makes it look like she just belongs in the jungle.  She's got lots of energy like her daddy but also loves naps like her momma.  I can't imagine our family without our Malia Mae!

May 30 = Malia & Rosie Day

I'm not going to lie- I have no idea what happened today- if Liam was at school, or in a bad mood or what- I don't know why he's not in any pictures because these were taken over a month ago... so here goes lots of posts with mainly pictures and my best guess at what was going on surrounding them.

I do remember Rosie dragging toilet paper all the way from the bathroom to the gate... silly puppy!

December 21 = Travel Eve

We leave tomorrow to go to NC for a while so today was about packing and cleaning!

Malia slept in her robe and new shoes that she got last night:

I'm going to clean these walls... one day.  Probably not today.

We got this Christmas card sent home with Liam- here's his class- he's so cute!!

Malia knows it's cold outside so she got ready by putting her socks on her hands.  Now we just need to find socks to put on her feet...

Malia is such a caring little girl- here she is taking care of her baby:

Liam got tired so he hid under his blanket- he doesn't want anyone to know he's tired.

We started these last night but they had to stay in the refrigerator over night so we baked them tonight.  Yummmmmmm!!

September 22 = Big Mess Day

We started the day off the right way- Chickfila breakfast.

But later that night, we weren't doing so well.  Also don't worry about the fact that Malia's wearing the same shirt she was wearing yesterday.  I could tell you I washed it last night but I would be lying.

Anyway- I had to take a video of the mess I came downstairs to in the amount of time it took me clean up a mess that had been made in Liam's room:

You can hear him say "not cool."  That's right Liam.  "Not cool."

And here's my sweet girl trying to clean up the mess that she may have helped make:

August 3 = Playdate Day

We met our friends Amy & Evie and Anne, Samuel, Kathleen & Thomas for a playdate at the playground near the CDC.  Liam loves this slide:

Malia pushed the youngest among all the kids on the swing- she was so gentle and sweet!

Zachary wasn't able to work out during the day today so he got some exercise at home:

June 11 = Drive to Smithfield Day

We had so much fun last night and today we are going to drive over to see Daps and Grandma in Smithfield!

Malia got the Leap Pad because this is what Liam was doing:

Malia got her nap in later- I thought I heard her so I went in to get her and found this instead and thought it was too precious to not get a picture- I love her little opened mouth and her little hands together- and the fact that she uses a blanket- Liam never uses a blanket.

Also, I saw this and while it didn't apply to anything today, it has in the past and will in the future for sure.

May 18 = Favorite Video Ever Day

First I saw this on facebook and laughed out loud and then sent it to Zachary.

Next I'll share some pictures of some of the preschool work we did today.  We worked on the letter A which Liam pronounces like the letter E.  There's a subtle difference between the pronunciation of his A and his E so I can tell he knows but it takes a discerning ear to hear it!  This picture shows the first time he has attempted to actually color something instead of just indiscriminately scribbling all over the page!

While Liam and I were working, Malia sneaked off with a marker and did some artwork of her own.

As a side note- I typed in snuck before changing it to sneaked because spell-check says snuck isn't a word.  I then googled it and in case you were wondering, sneaked is the traditional past tense of sneak but snuck is an American word and is an acceptable alternative.

Anyways.  Here's a video that I'm so so glad I captured.  How cute is she?!?!

March 23 = Help Daddy Mow Day

The weather looks like it might be nice for a few days so we went in the backyard again today.  We were just relaxing but Malia wanted to get some work done so she persuaded Daddy to help her mow our nonexistent grass.

After that, she got a bath and then she was so exhausted after all her hard work!  We got her in her pajamas after bath and put her in our room so she could watch some Bubble Guppies before bed.  In the time it took us to get Liam out of the bath and in his pajamas, we found her asleep in our bed.  Sweet girl.

February 20 = New Chair Day

One of Grandma's friends gave Miss Malia some cool new stuff for her room- the favorite so far: this chair.

Sadie was a fan too!
