April 3 = Dye some Easter Eggs Day

What a morning.  I got Liam up to go to our neighbor's apartment to dye Easter eggs.  This picture makes it look like Liam was a willing participant.  He wasn't.

So I dyed the eggs as Liam sat in the neighbor's daughter's high chair screaming and thrashing about.  Happy Easter everyone!

Later in the day, Miss Malia decided it was time for her to start pulling up to stand.  May the Lord be with us.

And finally, Liam decided to sit in a basket.  At least he was happily sitting in the basket.

April 2 = Steal Brother's Cantaloupe Day

Well Malia is becoming quite the thief with her newly found mobility.  I put a plate of cantaloupe on the floor because he refuses to sit in his high chair.  And cue the mantra "choose your battles."  We had thirty minutes to change diapers, get dressed, eat breakfast and get in the car to go to OT and ST so forcing him to sit in his high chair was not on the agenda.  Between me putting the plate on the floor, putting the rest of the cantaloupe back in the refrigerator and reentering the living room, Malia had crawled and scooted her way over to the plate and was eating Liam's breakfast.

 He made this in OT:

And when we got home, he wanted to take a selfie.  He is cute.

And then we snapped a picture of Malia (playing with another of Liam's toys.  Oops)

April 1 = Crawling Day

We officially have a crawler!  She's not crawling for terribly long distances but she's figured out how to make the crawling motion so I'm sure it's just a matter of practice and she'll crawl for longer and longer stretches.  Also she tried to pull up on her toy box today- she had both of her hands in position and I could see her working her arms- if it had been a sturdy box I think she would have made more progress.  And Liam handed her this baby doll and she loved it.  She hugged her and then tried to give her kisses- such a sweet baby!

March 31 = Play Outside Day

Hallelujah!  It was 66 degrees today.  We took advantage of it and headed outside.  This was Malia's first time trying out the umbrella stroller and Liam wanted to push her- it was so sweet.

Zachary and I were talking and turned and looked and Liam was all the way up the stairs and sat down on the slide to go down- without any help he mastered the playground equipment!

And then it was time to go back inside- Liam was such a big helper pushing his sister up the stairs.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, Liam said "nana" today for banana.

March 30 = Easter Goodies Day

I got home from the gym and discovered a big box at our door from Grandma and Pops!  I got super excited and was not disappointed.  There were lots and lots of candy and snacks and then toys for both babies- Malia got this baby doll.  I took it out and handed it to her and Liam immediately said "Baby!"  Liam got a dinosaur- when I took that out of the box, he loudly roared at it.  Then I opened the candy- should have waited until Liam went down for a nap because he's at the age now where I have to share :( Well, there were a few things in there just for me- Easter kitchen towels- I LOVE seasonal kitchen towels- and lemon heads, my favorite candy which, conveniently, Liam can't have.

March 29 = Sweet Daddy Day

Zachary got Malia dressed this morning- look how cute she is!  So sweet... so happy.

And then there's Liam.  Liam has been in a mood this whole week- his only form of communication has been a high pitched whine since Tuesday.  Well that's not entirely true.  He has formed some new words this week: baby and bowl.  But other than saying baby and bowl, it's been a constant whine.  You can probably get an idea of his attitude from his expression in this picture:

But the reason today is sweet daddy day is I caught Zachary being sweet and I just have to document it.  Malia's been going to bed at the same time Liam does- which is only adding fuel to the fire that is Zachary's and my addiction to Scandal.  So since she's going to sleep at 8:30, we like to feed her before we go to sleep and that usually makes it to where she wakes up for good around 8 which is perfect for this not-a-morning-person mommy.  Well, Zachary's been giving her a bottle while I pump for the last time of the night and I just assumed he stood beside her crib holding the bottle but on this night, I just had a longing to see Malia before I went to pump and he was rocking her and talking to her as she was drinking.  It melted my heart and just made me so grateful that my baby girl has a man who loves her who will set the bar high for another man one day in the future.

March 28 = Steal Big Brother's Toys Day

On this beautiful Saturday morning, Malia got to have some mango for breakfast- she was obviously very happy about it!

And then with the strength and energy she gained from her super breakfast, she decided to attempt to steal Liam's car.  Zachary put her in the car and she immediately grabbed the wheel.  Here's a short progression of events.  You can see Liam on the right and if you could see his face you'd see uncertainty like he's saying, "Why is she in my car?"

 He gets closer...
And then he gets in with no regard to where his sister is- this picture was snapped just before Zachary rescued her and Liam took back the driver's seat.
