I'm 30 today!
Look how sweet of a brother Liam is- such a good big brother!
Happy birthday to me :)
Excuse the language but truth:
Sleeping babies are the best!
Also, Chickfila babies are the best :)

October 24 = Sweet Siblings Day
Look at these two- the two babies of the family:
Liam can be very focused on what he wants to do so it was so so sweet that he wanted to feed Kayleigh. He wouldn't multi-task for just anyone.
And I love pictures of sleeping babies.

July 7 = Comforting Siblings Day
Saw this on facebook- so very funny but never works because Liam has the best memory ever.
We decided to see if Kayleigh liked the high chair today. She did not.
Both of her older siblings comforted her today- I got this picture of Liam making sure she was okay:
And (I took a screen shot of a text I sent so that I'd remember to put this on the blog- my memory isn't as good as my son's) Malia went over to Kayleigh when she was fussing, rubbed her back and said "It's okay sweetheart." So much love!

July 12 = Attempted Photo Shoot Day
First this:
Next, Malia's birthday is coming up. My mom's here so I'm able to get a little work done while she pleads with them to not hurt themselves or each other. Here's a wreath I made for her Bubble Guppies party:
Then I thought it would be nice to have some pictures of the little two year old so we headed to the Naval Academy with a blanket and a number two. It didn't go as well as I was hoping- here's how Malia felt about the situation:
I do like this one:
Liam was sharing some flowers with his little sister- how sweet he is!
Sass.
I love how she's on her little tippy toes in this one!
Here's Liam being sweet again- showing some love to Bebe (that's how he says Joey).
Then it was bath time for the little one. I will never understand how she gets so dirty.

May 17 = Help Sister Day
I'm going to start with that because although Liam is three, he's getting close to four and this totally applies.
Today was our last MOPS meeting. We ate some yummy food and played some games- one of them was "Mingle Bingo" where you have a bingo card and you have to find people that match descriptions in each of the squares. Some of the descriptions were:
Is a twin
Drives a Prius
Knows how to sew
The only two out of 24 that applied to me was "has a tattoo" and "dislikes tomatoes." After the games all the moms picked their kids up from Moppets and we all met downstairs in the gym for what was supposed to be a fun "picnic" because it was raining outside. Part of the meeting was "sharing time" for people to talk about what MOPS means to them. One girl said she was disappointed she hadn't been able to come very much but that she's looking forward to next year and is really hoping to make some friends. I can definitely relate so I found her at the picnic afterward and we discussed how hard it is to find friends! She's super nice and I think we're going to plan some play dates during the summer to keep us busy until MOPS starts back up in the fall! I had to leave early because Liam was throwing tantrums because I wouldn't let him open the doors off of the gym that opened up into rooms with lots of musical instruments in them. It wasn't pleasant.
But he had a nap and afterward was feeling a little better. I asked him to clean his room when I got him up and that involved putting his number puzzle pieces in the right spots and when Malia came in, he started pointing to the spot each of the pieces she was picking up went and it was so cute! I waited too long to start taking a video so you only see him helping with one piece but it was so, so cute.

November 16 = Playground Day
I am so obsessed with this playground. Well let me back up. I had an OB appointment today and Monday is Liam's CDC day. When I went to drop him off I thought it might be a good idea to see if there was room for Malia there too so she didn't have to sit through my appointment. Thankfully there was so I dropped her off to and came home and did nothing. Well I watched TV and messed around on my phone. I so rarely get to do that so that's what I did in my free time. Then I headed to the OB and thank goodness I didn't have Malia with me because I had to wait in the waiting room for over 45 minutes. Now back to the playground. I picked the kids up and decided to stop at the playground instead of heading straight home because I'm aware that this nice weather is going to leave us soon so I need to take advantage of it!
Liam decided to take on the slide backwards today- he thought he was so clever!
And then he helped me push Malia in the swing. Such a sweet brother!

June 16 = Share with Sister Day
Liam went through a phase where he loved pushing Malia over. Malia was a tough little thing and didn't really cry but it obviously was a behavior we were interested in stopping. I talked to a few different people- mostly his therapists- and tried different strategies. And just like with everything else you try to keep your child from doing or try to make your child do- one day he just quit. You can read, discuss, plan and he's just going to stop pushing her one day, he's just going to walk one day, he's just going to leave that cabinet alone one day, he's just going to let you brush his teeth one day. Well I don't even know when he stopped pushing her over but now he has a new thing he likes to do- and it's a positive! He loves sharing. Mostly food. He will break off a tiny (virtually too small to see) piece of whatever he's eating and give it to Malia. Toys are a little more difficult to share but this was right after he handed her the Lego in her hands. It just warms my heart!

October 6 = Jar day
How adorable is this craft Liam made?!
Also, these are the flowers he got Malia to make her feel better. They ended up making us all happier :)
