July 11 = Aquarium Day

I really wanted to give Liam one last day that was all about him.  Pretty soon- any day now Miss Malia- it's gonna be a lot harder to make a day all about Liam.  So Zachary had the idea of going to the National Aquarium in Baltimore- about 45 minutes away from us.  If he had known they didn't allow strollers, he might have picked a different place ;)

We started the day at Miss Shirley's Cafe in downtown Annapolis for breakfast.  I got blackberry pancakes and turkey sausage, Zachary got an omelet made of egg whites with zucchini and green peppers and we got Liam the Belgian waffles which came with a side of fruit (strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, pineapple and blackberries) and eggs.  This was probably the best breakfast he's ever been presented with but since he drank some milk on the way to the restaurant- oops- he didn't eat hardly any of it.

After breakfast, we ran and got the tickets and refilled drinks and then headed to Baltimore!  We saw the stadium where the Ravens play and got a really good view of Camden Yards where the Orioles play.  Then we parked and walked to the aquarium.  As we're getting our tickets checked, the lady told us the stroller check was on the right and Zachary and I looked at each other like "oh noooooo."  So we left our tiny, umbrella stroller behind and the adventure began.  Liam wanted to do everything himself- he was Mr. Independent.  Zachary said he saw 3 exhibits the entire time we were there but it was all about Liam and I think he had fun walking around even if he didn't pay attention to a single fish.  This was by far his favorite part.

This was towards the beginning when he was still being slightly cooperative- one of the few exhibits Zachary saw.

I like this little guy:

Liam led us to the cafe where we got to look at the view.

This was one of my favorite exhibits:

We got the stroller back!

I love pictures of my little man sleeping- he gave it a good fight but when we were about 5 minutes from home, he gave up.

Nothing better than this:
