September 30th = Glasses Day

We traveled to NC today because Uncle Matty is getting married tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went straight to the rehearsal and it didn't go well for the kids.  They needed naps and food so we struggled through it and then I took them to my parents house where they had baked ziti waiting for us.

Also Malia found these and thought they belonged on her face.

September 29 = Put Your Shoes On Day

I don't have photo evidence but Malia put her brown shoes on today all by herself!  Since she's getting to be such a big girl look what I did:

She sat so still and let me paint her tiny little toenails a really pretty purple.  Such a good girl!

September 28 = Fall Asleep in the Car Day

Liam had OT today so when I picked him from the bus, we took Malia to Zachary at the academy and then went to his appointment.  I read the whole time, it was glorious.  We went to pick Malia up and on the way home, Liam did this:

When we got home, I got him out of his seat very carefully and brought him inside.  I laid him down in the floor so I could go get Malia from the car, assuming he'd get up and be ready to party but he stayed asleep right there on the floor.  I wasn't confident that I could carry him up to the 3rd floor so I woke him up and he went to his room and went right back to sleep.  Score.

September 27 = Soccer Day

First, I have to share this.  Need a tip for painting your nails while being a mom?  Just don't.

I got ambitious during nap today.  This is what our garage looks like.  It is the place where we put things when we probably won't need them in the near future.

Not done but feeling a lot better about it.

Also, Malia had her second soccer "practice" today.  Here's some pictures from Zachary:

Evie, Malia & Weston

September 26 = Pretty Girl Day

I don't have a ton to say except look how gorgeous this girl is:

September 25 = Bekah's Last Liam Day

On Sundays we wear football jerseys.  How cute are these kids?!

Liam's favorite kids' club worker, Bekah, is leaving us at the end of the week.  She's moving to Pensacola.  But since Liam doesn't come to the gym during the week, I knew today would be the last time they'd see each other so I got this picture:

September 24 = Couch Nap Day

I don't know how Zachary survives.  He often goes to sleep at the same time as I do if not after and then wakes up at least an hour and a half before me and I regularly take naps.  Sometimes, he takes couch naps in the afternoons.  Somehow.  With two crazy kids running around, I don't know how he sleeps through all the noise but I guess he's just that tired.

So my kid isn't even in school yet and I'm already running out of space to put artwork so I did something I've read about- take pictures of the art work and then you can *gasp* throw the actual artwork away.  So here we go:

Also saw these on facebook and loved them:

September 23 = New Book Day

Here's Liam waiting for the bus.  I've designated this as "his spot."  We'll see how long that lasts.

Also, I used real chalk to write a quote on this board but it's been brushed by so many times that I couldn't tell you what it said anymore.  So I got some liquid chalk markers and wrote this one out... I like it!

Also, we had a Moms' Night Out tonight with our MOPS group.  We met at Mother's restaurant in Severna Park and we were all childless for the time we were there- it was amazing!  I had already eaten dinner but I was excited to just participate in adult conversation!

Also, I started this book today.  So. Good.  It's really interesting- I have a feeling it's not going to take me long to finish it.

Also, I was tickling Malia and she kept saying "it tickles, it tickles" so I went to take a video so I could remember how she said it and... well I had to do a lot of work to get her to say it when 5 seconds before, she wouldn't stop saying it:

September 22 = Big Mess Day

We started the day off the right way- Chickfila breakfast.

But later that night, we weren't doing so well.  Also don't worry about the fact that Malia's wearing the same shirt she was wearing yesterday.  I could tell you I washed it last night but I would be lying.

Anyway- I had to take a video of the mess I came downstairs to in the amount of time it took me clean up a mess that had been made in Liam's room:

You can hear him say "not cool."  That's right Liam.  "Not cool."

And here's my sweet girl trying to clean up the mess that she may have helped make:

September 21 = Meltdown Day

So our default plan for Wednesdays is I take Malia to Zachary after picking Liam up from the bus and then Liam and I head to his OT appointment.  I don't enjoy taking Malia with us to OT appointments because... this:

I sent him this video and said next time you have to cancel on your Malia date, we're paying the $25 cancellation fee.

Also... I love me some Time Hop... look what little jewel it gave me today:

So so small!!

September 20 = Firsts Day

Today was my first MOPS meeting.  I tried to join a MOPS group over a year ago but the only one near me had a wait list.  So in January, I got off the waitlist and got to join the group. Towards the end of the year the leaders were trying to find new leaders to step up because one needed a break and the other was moving to Scotland for a year.  I, being totally new to this MOPS group, thought I wasn't quite qualified but no one was volunteering.  So I eventually told the coordinators I'd be willing to do it but I knew I may not be the ideal candidate since I was so new.  Well only one other person volunteered and both of us were hoping to be co-coordinators, not have the whole job to ourselves, so I met Anna and we started planning this year of MOPS.  Well today is the first meeting!  Look at this note from my sweet husband:

I had to leave the first MOPS meeting early- as I will need to every meeting- to pick Liam up from the bus.  While I was waiting, I spotted this little guy.

My mom once was bitten?  snapped?  I don't know what by a snapping turtle so I was very careful to keep my hands away from its mouth and moved him out of the road.

I had to take this picture because Malia has a new habit of putting socks on her hands like mittens...

The other first today was Malia's first soccer "practice."  This is mainly going to be Zachary's job to take her to soccer but for her first day, I wanted to watch.  Liam did not.  We walked around and found a playground...

Zachary has pictures of Malia on her first soccer day but I don't... this is all I have- her taking her shoes off on the field.   Let's hope there are more to come!

September 19 = Marley Day

This is all I have for today.  Just Marley.

September 18 = Game Day

So Alexandra loves the Dallas Cowboys but she's never seen them play live.  So while we've been in Annapolis, I've been thinking it would be super cool to take her to a game either at the Ravens or, more likely, the Redskins (their rival).  So this year, the Cowboys played at the Redskins when she could come up so we went!  And they won!  It couldn't have been more perfect.  Well, she had injured herself days before so she had to walk around in a boot but other than that, it couldn't have been more perfect!  We sat on the Cowboys side with lots of other Cowboys fans.  Now I was wearing a Redskins t-shirt so we didn't get mugged but I was definitely pulling for the boys... it would not have been a pleasant ride home had they not won ;)

September 17 = Kinder Farm Park Day

Zachary had Rover watch last night at the academy so he spent the night there and then had a breakfast this morning so Daps, Grandma and I took the kids to Kinder Farm Park.  It was so nice outside and the kids had so much fun!

After the park, we grabbed chickfila to take home and met Zachary there for lunch before Grandma and Daps had to leave.  And while they were heading south, Alexandra was heading north!  We are going to the Cowboys v. Redskins game tomorrow.  A little under seven years ago, Alexandra and I went to a tattoo parlor and she got her first tattoo and I got my cartilage pierced.  So now that she wants her second tattoo, she's decided to do it up here so I can be with her for the second one too!  The same guy who did my XIII a couple months ago, did her new sun.
