Liam has been going around shirtless quite often as of late.
We had speech today...
And after they were crazy at speech, I decided to take them to chickfila. I'm not sure what I was thinking... I'm just an eternal optimist. They did pretty well.
Soon after we sat down I realized I didn't have my keys. Thankfully, when we got to the car, they were in the ignition. So I'm grateful that no one drove off in my car and that I didn't lose my keys somewhere between the car and chickfila.
On the way home, Liam and Malia fought over whose Mommy I am. "My mommy." "No... my mommy." "No. Not yours. Mine." It seriously went on for the whole ride.
Today at our MOPS meeting, we had our four mentor moms take questions from the group. My co-coordinator is in the process of moving and wasn't able to come today so I sent her this picture of the setup:
On my way out I noticed a bin with maternity clothes in it at our "gifting table," so I took advantage of that!
The weather has been really nice today and for the past two days so we've come to this same playground for three days in a row. I just now took a few pictures. Zachary took the kids to the gym and I made lunches and we met at the playground and had a little picnic and then played on the slides and swings- such a good day!
My parents came up this weekend- Zachary has duty tomorrow so they'll be here to help me out tomorrow. They also helped out today- Zachary went to work out and we went out to get the kids new shoes and lunch. Here's gramps and his two little loves:
Later, my mom and I went to Target and left Zachary and my dad at home with the kids. Zachary took this picture of Malia and sent it to me- he knows I love her little feet so he purposefully gets them in most of the pictures he takes of her.
Funny story from today. My friend, Alexandra, has warned me that the kids need to know their actual names because as a Kindergarten teacher, she's had kids who don't know they have a real name, they just go by their nicknames. So I try every once in a while to ask the kids what their names are. I asked Malia today what her name was- to which she replied "sister" and then asked her what bubba's name is and she said "big boy." Who knows. I really don't know about this child:
Zachary and I aren't huge Valentine's Day celebrants but he encouraged me to get a pedicure today while they went to the gym- I've had a sinus infection and don't feel like working out- so I did and this lady getting a manicure had the cutest dog with her:
And on the way home, Zachary was driving a different way and so I asked him what he was doing. He said he was going to Kohl's for one last Valentine's Day surprise. But he drove past Kohl's. So I again asked where he was going and he said "Oh did I say Kohl's? I meant Target." And then he made another "wrong turn" and we ended up in the Outback parking lot. He had ordered food to go before we left the gym... the kids were screaming and being crazy so I was very relieved we weren't going inside. Such a nice Valentine's Day!
And finally I have this video of Liam. I've been wanting to capture this for a while and I'm so glad I did. Sometimes I'll affectionately say something like, "that's my boy" and Liam corrects me immediately- "I mommy's boy and dada's boy. Both."
Wow, twice in two weeks I've found the time to make something. Here's a screenshot of my Pinterest board titled "want." I've had my eye on these two mugs for a while. The first says "Adventure is Calling" and has a compass rose on it and the second says "There are Things Worth Fighting For" and has an anchor. Zachary has a compass rose tattoo and I have an anchor tattoo. So I really have wanted these mugs for us but haven't ever taken the time to order them. So I thought they'd make a nice Valentine's Day present but they actually don't exist anymore. So I decided to make them. I went to target and got two cute white mugs and got to work.
Here's the finished product- not as nice looking as the originals but definitely made with love!
On Thursdays, we get to sleep in a little bit because Liam has speech during school hours so he doesn't go to school on Thursdays anymore. This morning, he quietly came creeping into my room and got in the bed and pretended to be asleep.
Also I saw these and the first I thought of Zachary and the second is pretty accurate for me except that I don't drink coffee. If it was a water bottle, it'd be spot on.
And here's Malia casually sitting on the back of a chair...
We went over to the Osmuns' house tonight to watch the first half of the Super Bowl. I saw this and sent it to Zachary thinking it was funny- he didn't think it was so funny.
Well I didn't take any pictures today (except for one of the book I started reading) but I did take these screenshots:
This is such. a. good. book. Zachary's going to take Liam to NC with him for a spring break MAG trip and so it'll just be me and Malia and so I'm going to apply what I've learned from this book and get this girl potty trained.
