April 29 = FIrst Full New House Day!

We may have moved from one house to another but the Saturday Chick-fil-a breakfast tradition still stands!!

Liam was playing in Malia's castle and she marched in there pretty determined... I thought she was going to yell at him or cry but instead she gave him a big hug...  I thought he might not appreciate this certain hug but he just started laughing.  They love each other so much!

So we are so very grateful that we've met all of our neighbors and they are all super nice.  They hang out a lot behind the building and today a couple of us were grilling out.  Liam filled the kids' sandbox with water around lunch so it would be warmer by the time we were cooking out.  Malia was in heaven.  Liam had more fun exploring everyone's garages but he got some water play in too.

It was really nice to relax outside for a while but I saw this when I got inside- instead of more unpacking, I was looking at facebook and saw this and agreed.

April 28 = Moving Day!

Uncle Matty (who Liam now refers to as Uncle Monkey), came in last night to help us move.  We got to work early this morning!  Liam went to school- Malia and I helped move little stuff downstairs while Zachary and Matthew worked on the furniture.  I say Malia helped but that is a lie.  She had a different plan:

We walked to pick up Liam from the bus stop for the last time... no more bus after today.  I couldn't find a pair of shoes for her so she had to wear a pair of Liam's shoes.

First nap in the new house:

April 27 = More Rosie Pictures Day

Look at this gorgeous puppy!

Truth:

We spent some time at the new house today- doing some more unpacking and organizing.  Malia found some stickers and proceeded to decorate her face with them.

Zachary brought over the recliner so this pregnant lady would have somewhere to sit... I let him and Liam borrow it :)

We gave them baths at the new place because we had already moved everything over.  We got them in their pajamas and here we were sitting on the front steps waiting for Zachary to bring the car around. Malia wouldn't leave the new house without her bag of accessories:

April 26 = Donation Day

I got this video of Malia playing with cups... I love it when she says "ta-da."

We went to chick-fil-a after Liam's OT appointment... instead of actually playing in the kids area, Liam and Malia decided to just sit in Daddy's lap.

Zachary had watched Malia for me during Liam's OT appointment.  She loves hanging out with Daddy at work- Zachary is the O-rep for the Midshipmen Action Group and they're doing a donation drive this week.  He donated this cute little girl:

April 25 = New Game Day

First, this:

Zachary and Malia made up a new game today!  Malia found a soft ball that is for Joey- he plays fetch with it.  Malia was throwing it to Zachary and he was throwing it back and then they started taking turns throwing it into Zachary's hat.  They had so much fun!  When Zachary made it in the hat, Malia would say "Nice throw Daddy!"

The person who made this can't decide but I'm pretty sure the answer is living life to the fullest:

Check out the kitchen!  We had one of our respite care providers watch the kids tonight so we could get some stuff moved in and organized- I'm going with the post-it method right now.  It'll help me remember where everything's supposed to go and if I change my mind, it's easy to move the post-it.

April 23 = Nose Bleed Day

First- we have an update on the baby... 7 weeks to go!

This is so very true.  It takes so much of my mental capacity to figure this out sometimes.

Malia woke up from her nap like this... I thought it was bbq sauce at first and then realized she had had a nose bleed!

 I love this:

And here's Zachary with his cats... they love him.

April 22 = Gramps & Mimi Day

My parents came in yesterday- they got in after the kids were asleep so today they got really excited when they realized Gramps and Mimi were at our house!  They're helping watch the kids while we get some moving done... very, very helpful!  Liam had some good snuggle time with Gramps today!

April 21 = Good Nap Day

I went to get Liam up for school this morning- look at these sweet babies.  It took a while to get the morning routine going but he was happy.  Sleepy but happy!

We got some more pictures of Miss Rosie today!!

Liam must have been reallyyyyy tired because he took a nap this afternoon after school.  Here's how I found them:

April 20 = Memories Day

So I don't know that I've mentioned this on the blog.  If I have, I apologize.  Our lease is up on April 30th.  The owner has decided he wants to sell.  We asked if we could stay for two and a half more months so we don't have to move in Annapolis before we move to Rhode Island in July.  He said we could but had some unrealistic expectations and had he sold it, we'd have to move anyway so we decided to go ahead and move.  Any time someone scheduled a showing, we would have to leave the house and I just imagined getting home from the hospital after McKenzie's born and getting a phone call that we have 30 minutes to get out.  Not appealing.  So... thankfully, there is military housing available for us so we're going to move about 10 minutes away.  Any spare minute we have is used for packing/organizing/planning/cleaning.  Liam's tired of it:

He really did almost fall asleep on the bottom stair today.

Anyway, I've been going through lots of stuff and I took on our "memory boxes" today.  I found these pieces of paper we had put in a jar one year- we had this goal of anytime anything awesome happened, we would write it down and put it in the jar and on New Year's Eve, have fun going through all the memories.  We started off strong.  I don't want to keep all the pieces of paper but I want to keep the memories so I'm going to type them up here.  They're all from 2013.

1-3: Liam measured at the 25th percentile for weight but 60th for head circumference.
1-4: We moved into our new house (how appropriate- this was Oregon City Street on Mayport's Base).
1-13: Liam rolled over and then slept through the night- both first times!
1-23: Liam came home from the hospital happy and on medicine to control his seizures!
1-25: Liam laughed his first real laugh- at mommy!
2-9: Liam rolled over every time I put him on his belly tonight- 5 times!  The end of tummy time.
2-14: Liam at a few bites of avocado!
2-23: Liam's half birthday- lots of family and friends came to celebrate.
3-3: Zachary held a girl named Paisley the whole time we had nursery for the first time because she would cry if he thought about putting her down.
3-10: Easter Egg Hunt (A little early since Zachary was out for Easter)
4-1: The batteries made one fire alarm go off which made another go off at 3AM.  Jeannie freaked out and stood guard at the head of the bed for at least 30 minutes.
5-13: 10 year anniversary; Liam ate bread at outback and then we saw Christian Laettner at Zachary's basketball game.
5-23: 1st Family Beach Trip
5-24: First time Liam had home made peaches (not Gerber), he ate a crazy amount!
5-26: Liam held his bottle and fed himself for the first time!
5-31: We all watched Rocky together!  (I remember this so well... I surprised Zachary by finding it online- he'd been bugging me to watch it... He loved watching it with his wife beside him and his son on his lap)
7-4: Liam clapped his hands for the first time.
7-5: Liam gave John Dominey his first high five.
10-1: Liam waved at someone for the time in an Ikea elevator.

I wanted to document all of these since not every day of his life at this age was written about like I do now.  Such good memories!

April 19 = Rough OT Day

So as I was getting the kids into the building for Liam's OT appointment, I noticed Liam was wearing his big brother shirt and Malia was wearing her big sister shirt.  This was not intentional but I thought it was cute!

Malia is starting to really question why Liam gets to go into the fun rooms for his appointments and she has to sit outside in the waiting room.  Today, she was distraught about it.  When Liam came out of his appointment, she snuck in and had her own fun.  She did not want to leave.  And this almost 8 months pregnant mama didn't have the easiest time persuading her otherwise.  I called Zachary on the way home and told him I'm never doing that again.  From now on, if I don't have help with Malia, I'm canceling his appointment.

I was very excited that Zachary and I had a date night planned after the nightmare of OT.  We went to Chart House on the water in Annapolis- very pretty and very yummy!  I also snapped a picture of the baby bump because I'm starting to realize it won't be there for much longer...

April 18 = Truth Day

This is all I have from today...

April 17 = Bee Movie Day

I just don't understand why making a mess is so appealing...

So Malia has recently discovered bees.  She calls them buzzes.  She says, "It's a buzz.  I scared."  And it's really cute.  So Zachary decided to put on a movie all about bees!  She's not so sure about it, as you can see:

April 16 = Easter

Liam and Malia ripped into their Easter baskets last night.  They got a doctor's kit to share and that was definitely the hit of the evening.  It came with a cell phone and Malia likes to put it on her eye and "take a picture."  I don't know.

She also really likes the stethoscope or as she calls it, "my e-scope"

I love this picture.

Malia got some hair clips for Easter as well... Liam thought she should wear one.

Here's McKenzie!

We went to St. Margaret's Episcopal for Easter service.  Liam didn't get much sleep last night so he looks exhausted...

And here's a McKenzie update!

After church, we did an Easter egg hunt on the playground across the street from our house- but not before Malia picked this singular flower we had in our front yard...

... and kissed the neighborhood outdoor cat.  We don't know who he/she belongs to but he/she has a collar and is well taken care of and friendly.

I love this sneaky look on his face even though he's doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing.

Zachary and Liam had fun walking around the  perimeter of the playground- good balance practice!

And Malia's a tree hugger...
